Wheaten

Puppy Love

Wheaten Puppy Love is not your typical dog breed book. It’s a nonfiction informational textbook that brings Wheaten’s life to you through a unique blend of informative text and captivating photographs. This book is a journey from birth, from the joy of playing in the snow to the excitement of the dog show.

Make no mistake; these pictures do not show the hard times when dogs find the mud puddle or chew up your new glasses or cell phone. Dogs are wonderful companions. They love to cuddle, they know when you are sick, and they provide comfort.

The health and well-being of our pet family members are important to everyone. This was especially true for Tessa, our six-year-old Wheaten. Two years ago, Tessa was diagnosed with Protein-Losing Enteropathy (PLE). Her health was in serious jeopardy, and it was a challenging time for all of us. Tessa received treatment from Dr. Sara, DVM, PhD, DACVIM-SAIM, Assistant Professor at the Small Animal Clinical Sciences Department at Michigan State University. Tess is making progress.

10% of the book’s sales will be donated to support Protein-Losing Enteropathy (PLE) research at Michigan State University.

A Word From The Author

Wheaten Puppy Love was written because the Soft-Coated Wheaten Terrier Breed is so much fun to own. I have been the proud owner of four wheaten terriers. Attending dog shows and learning about this breed of dog have motivated me to write this book. For the past six years, Tessa and Tobias have resided in my house. Watching their antics and playful nature encouraged me to document them with photographs.
